NADIA ONLINE's year-end event, TOKYO HAFLA will be back again this year. 

Please mark your date on Sunday December 21st, 12:00 noon (Japan Time), venue will be Silk Road Cafe, a mecca for belly dancers in Tokyo, Japan.


In addition, for those who can't make it to come to Japan during this busy Christmas  period, we will be streaming the show on live so you can watch it from home. We'll be delivering some amazing footage, so please look forward to it!

The venue will have approximately 30-40 seats. Ticket prices (expected to be around $40-50 per seat) and purchasing methods will be announced at a later date once the performers are decided, with announcements scheduled to begin on October 15th.

Applicants must be NADIA ONLINE members as of August 2025 and have completed at least 3 terms by December 2025 (included Video Lessons).

Nadia will prepare an incredibly wonderful stage for those who will dance with all their heart and soul in the pieces they have been practicing so diligently every day.

■ Participation Fee: $100 (per person, per song) - Up to three songs may be entered.


■ Participation Fee Includes:
- Performance Fee: Covers venue/stage lighting/sound personnel costs
- Rehearsal: Supervised by Nadia (including instructions on standing positions)
- Photos/Video (Professional photographer will be arranged, and video footage will be provided to all participants)
- Poster Design: We will create a promotional poster featuring photos of the performers. Please promote your activities on social media.


■ About the Program:
Each person may submit up to three pieces learned through NADIA ONLINE, past NADIA SCHOOL programs, workshops, video courses, etc. Works can be solo, duo, or group dance, in any style you like.


However, if multiple people wish to perform the same piece, we will propose a group dance performance. We will produce a group dance supervised by NADIA, or we can arrange for NADIA to join in the group dance and perform together.


Please note that we will make adjustments once all participants have agreed.


In addition, we also accept entries for pieces that you have choreographed yourself and supervised by NADIA. Supervision by NADIA requires at least 5 hours of private lessons. When we say supervision by NADIA, we want you to create a piece that is close to your ideal and then present it. No compromises! :)

[About Private Lessons and Video Tutorials]
 
First of all, let me start by saying that there's no rule that says you must take private lessons when applying for TOKYO HAFLA. 


The entry requirements are as stated above, and anyone who attends regular lessons (beginner, advanced, professional, amateur, etc.) is welcome to apply.


However, if you've applied but are struggling to fully absorb what you learned in regular lessons and are in a state of "Help!", then Nadia is always available to help. We'll observe your dance one-on-one, point out areas for improvement, and guide you to a perfect dance.


Sometimes, something you couldn't figure out after two hours of staring at each other might be resolved in just five minutes during a private session.

I've summarized some key points about private lessons for your reference.



① Private Lessons at Regular Price

If you'd like to create your own choreography under NADIA's supervision, a minimum of 5 hours of private lessons is required. Why? Because I want to work closely with you until you reach a level where you can proudly present your work. We'll review, refine, think, propose, practice, revise, refine, practice, and complete... This is the process. If you're interested in learning how to create and choreograph, please feel free to contact me.


Since I'll take the time to support you in creating new choreography from scratch, private lessons will be charged at the regular price. ($100/hour)

Also, if you'd like to learn past pieces in a private lesson, a minimum of five hours of private lessons is required and will be charged at the regular price.


② Video Lessons

Since the launch of NADIA ONLINE in 2020, you can now take video lessons at your own pace, even if not all of the pieces are available in real time. For example, if you missed the BALADI NOSTALGIA term due to a busy schedule but regret not having taken it, you can receive the eight weeks' worth of instructional videos from that term and learn the choreography.

As shown in the list below, all NADIA ONLINE works from 2020 onward are available via video lessons. On the day of the lesson, you can learn one choreography for $250. Eight permanent instructional videos are included. Considering that private lessons require five hours of private lessons, we believe that videos are a convenient, cost-effective option that allows you to learn at your own pace. If you're interested in a particular work, please contact us.

③ NADIA ONLINE PROMOTION : 50% off price of Online Private Lessons

NADIA ONLINE members can take private lessons at half price to brush up on a work they're currently learning or a past work, learn the basics, stage ideas for competitions or shows, or learn duo or group formations. Refining a work learned through the video lessons (see above) is also available at half price.

NADIA ONLINE discounts are available Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Singapore time). Private sessions held in the evenings, early mornings, and Sunday evenings are not eligible for discount. 

If you absolutely need a private session in the evenings, early mornings, or Sunday evenings, we will reserve a separate studio for the lesson. In that case, we will consider accepting the session at the regular price. Thank you for your understanding.

If you're confirmed to be in the group dance, we'll schedule rehearsals. Rehearsals will be scheduled for weekend afternoons or weekday evenings from September onwards.

If you'd like to participate in the group dance, please write "I'd like to participate in the group dance!" in the desired song section of the application form above, and enter your preferred dates for rehearsal classes between September and November. (Example: Saturdays are available, weekday evenings are flexible, etc.)

年に一度、全国・世界からNADIA ONLINEメンバーが集結する特別企画！「TOKYO HAFLA」を今年も開催しますよ！早いもので第5回目なんですね！すでに何人もの方から今年はいつやるのーー？ってお問合わせ頂いておりまして、今年もワイワイ盛り上がる企画にできたらと思っています。

今年も昨年に続き、お昼企画となります。12/21(sun) 12時より。会場は、ベリーダンサーの聖地、シルクロードカフェさんにて。また、TOKYO HAFLA - After Partyを、同日午後16時より別会場にて企画します。Tハフ出演者の皆と、忘年会を兼ねてご飯食べながら盛り上がれたらと思っています。

■ 演目について：
NADIA ONLINEまたは、過去のNADIA SCHOOLおよび、ワークショップ、動画受講などで学んだ作品をお一人様、3曲までエントリー可とします。作品はソロ・デュオ・群舞、お好きなスタイルで。

ただし、同じ曲を希望される方が複数名いる場合は、群舞での演出を提案させて頂きます。NADIA監修の群舞としてプロデュースさせて頂く、または、NADIAも群舞に入り、共演と言う形で発表できるようアレンジします。
　
全員の希望が揃い次第、調整を入れていきますので、どうぞご了承ください。
　

また、ご自身で振付された作品で、NADIAが監修させて頂いた作品のエントリーも可とします。監修とする場合は、1演目につき、プライベートレッスン5時間以上受講されていることが条件となります。NADIA監修と申し上げるからには、理想に近い作品へ導き、仕上げた上で発表して頂きたいという思いがあるためです。妥協なしです！ :)

【プライベートレッスン・動画受講について】

まず、はじめに！

TOKYO HAFLAエントリーする際に、プライベートレッスンを必ず受けなくてはならないというルールはありません笑。
　
エントリー条件は上記の通りで、通常レッスンに出席されている方であれば皆様、どなたでも(初心者・上級者・プロアマ関係なく) エントリーしていただけます。
　

ただ、エントリーしたはいいけど、通常レッスンで学んだことが消化しきれずw、助けてー！みたいな状態の方w、もしいらっしゃれば、いつでもナディア対応させていただきます。マンツーマンでダンスを拝見して、改善点をお伝えし、一曲踊れるように導きます。
　
2時間にらめっこして分からなかったことが、プラベの５分で解決することもあるかもしれません。
　
必要な方はご利用ください。



プラベについてポイントをまとめました。ご参考までに。

① 正規料金でのプラベ受講

NADIA監修で振付制作してみたい！という方は、最低5時間のプライベートレッスン受講が必須となります。なぜ？「〇〇振付・NADIA監修」と、誇りを持って発表して頂けるレベルに達するまで、徹底的におつきあいさせて頂きたいからです。拝見して、煮詰めて、考えて、提案して、練習して、修正して、煮詰めて、練習して、完成・・・。という運びになります。創作、振付の仕方など、ご興味ある方は是非ご相談ください。


新作振付をゼロイチで制作するにあたり、時間をかけてサポートしますので、プライベートレッスン代は、正規料金での受付となります。

例： 動画受講できない演目（コロナ前に教えていた） "Gawaher" や "I wanna dance" などを習いたい場合。



② 動画受講

NADIA ONLINEがスタートした2020年以降は、全ての作品をリアルタイムではなくても後ほどゆっくりご自身のペースで動画受講できるようになりました。例えば、「BALADI NOSTALGIAのタームは、忙しくて休んでしまったけど、やっぱり受けとけばよかったなぁ」などという時に、そのタームで配信した８週間分の解説動画をお渡し、振付を学んでいただくことができるというものです。

あまりにお問い合わせが多いので、動画受講できる演目をまとめたインスタグラムのアカウントを新しく立ち上げました。過去作品はこちらのアカウントからご確認ください。希望する演目があればDMでお知らせくださいね。

2020年以後のNADIA ONLINE作品は全て動画受講が可能となります。受講費は、振付1作品 ¥25,000で学ぶことができます。永久保存版の解説動画が8本付きます。プライベートレッスンで学ぼうとすると5時間分のプラベ受講が必須(¥50,000)となることを考えると、動画受講の方が手軽で経済的な上、マイペースに学べて良いですね。ご興味ある作品があればぜひご相談ください。


③ NADIA ONLINE 割引 半額プラベ受講
 
現在進行形で習っている作品、またはすでに習った過去作品のブラッシュアップや、それに伴う基礎、コンペやショー出演のための演出アイディアや、デュオやグループでのフォーメーションなどを学ぶ場合、NADIA ONLINEメンバーは、正規料金の半額で受講できます。上記②の動画受講で学んだ作品のブラッシュアップも、同様に、半額受講可です。

NADIA ONLINE 割引が適用される時間帯は、月〜土 の午前10時から午後6時とさせて頂き、夜間・早朝・日曜の夕方は、割引対象外となります。現在、ナディアの自宅スペースを利用してレッスンを開催していますが、家族共有スペースにて24時間体制が難しいことを、ご理解くださると幸いです。

どうしても夜間・早朝・日曜夕方のプラベが必要な場合は、正規料金にてお受けし、別途こちらでスタジオを予約して開催いたします。ご相談ください。

特に年末は毎年混み合いますのでお早めのご予約をお願い致します。

毎ターム送られてくるスケジュールを参考に、レッスンが入っていない日時で、第三希望まで表記してナディアまでDM下さい。

【New term begins ♪】★ 「Rakasni Ya Habibi」choreography & basic yoga!「TOKYO HAFLA」entry now open! etc ..

Hello everyone! ★


This is Nadia, a Japanese belly dancer based in Singapore.
 
The new term will finally start on 17th August after the summer holiday, are you ready?
 
 
Nadia has always been adamant that if I'm going to dance fusion, I want to do Japanese-fusion pieces! You know why, yes, because of my origin and roots are coming from the land of Japan. However, when dancing fusion, the most important foundation is Oriental fundamentals. Without a foundation in Oriental (belly dance), you won't know what kind of fusion it is, isn't it? 
 
 
Since this spring, we at NADIA ONLINE have been focusing on Egyptian-style pieces as our assigned pieces. With baladi and shaabi, we are in full Egyptian mode! Nadia couldn't wait any longer, so I went to Cairo for about a week at the end of June! :)

 

It's been a long time since I last traveled to Egypt, around 2010. The atmosphere of the city hasn't changed at all. If I had to say, maybe the only thing that's changed is that you can now take a bus to see the pyramids, that was convenient. 

I love the vibrant city of Cairo and the energy of its people, which remains constant no matter how many times I visit. Looking at the Giza Pyramids, I found myself pondering a worldview that transcends time and space. I wondered if the ancient Egyptians, from this spot on Earth, looked up at the sky, imagined the universe, and built the pyramids with the belief that they could connect with it. 

Also, the ancient Egyptian religious belief was polytheistic, just like Japan's (Ra in Egypt, Amaterasu in Japan), and I felt a strange sense of affinity with that. The scale of the city, transcending all time and space, was so grand that I absorbed the energy to the fullest with my small body before returning home.

Strangely enough, since returning from Egypt I have been feeling very energetic (perhaps cleansed and reset? Or perhaps I have received new energy?), and my motivation to dance is welling up like a fountain.

I will be channeling that fountain into my new work. 

This term, following baladi and shaabi, we will be dancing Egyptian Oriental (Raks Sharqi), the Egyptian music that belly dancers find most captivating. "Rakasni Ya Habibi" (Let's dance, my darling) which is Nadia's most favorite oriental number from Dr. Samy Farag's album, and we are dancing her new choreography with a veil.

EGYPTIAN ORIENTAL

Duration: Starts August 17th (Sun) - Ends October 11th (Sat)

Choreography and basics will be taught three times a week online (Thursday, Sunday, Monday) and two times a week in the studio (Friday, Saturday), for a total of five days a week. If you miss a week, you can still learn through videos.

Choreography will be completed in eight weeks.

→ Complete one choreography song in eight weeks / Includes audio and eight choreography videos.

Our highly popular belly dance basics and choreography lessons are currently being held at our Singapore studio.

The studio is just one bus stop away from Orchard Road. Despite being located in the city, our beautiful studio with pool views and surrounded by greenery makes you feel like you've stepped into a tranquil forest. We hold weekly in-person lessons.

Children are welcome to attend.

Two classes are held every Friday and Saturday at 11:00 AM. (Sometimes schedule will be change depends on studio booking)

60 minutes of basics and 60 minutes of choreography.

For a monthly fee of $380 per term (8 weeks), you can take as many in-studio basic and choreography classes as you like. If you wish, you can also take online lessons (basics, choreography, and yoga). This means you can catch up on classes online or via videos on weeks you can't make it to the studio. The choreography content is the same as the online class. 

If you'd like a trial lesson or drop-in, you can sign up for a 60-minute class for just $35. We also offer studio class passes ($300 for 10 x 60-minute classes). Please let us know if you are interested.

Price: $300 for 10 x 60-minute classes (10 hours)

- Any remaining passes can be used for private lessons.

[Notice to Studio Lesson Students]

Nadia is involved in two festivals in September: one in Singapore and one in Malaysia (Johor Bahru). While we do not intend to cancel lessons, we would like to inform studio lesson students in advance that we may need to reschedule multiple times.


1. Saturday, September 13th → 9:00-11:00 (Depending on studio availability)
2. Friday, September 19th → Rescheduled to the same time on Wednesday, September 17th
3. Saturday, September 27th → 3:00-5:00 PM (Depending on studio availability)

Hey! There's no teacher nearby...? There are no belly dance classes...? Even if there are, the barrier to entry is so high that it's intimidating... Have you given up on starting for reasons like these? 

"NADIA ONLINE on ZOOM" is a popular lesson launched during the COVID-19 pandemic. You're free to turn your screen on or off, and join or leave at any time. If you're embarrassed about being seen dancing, you can choose to keep your screen off. Or, if you prefer to improve by dancing with your screen on, you can participate at your own pace and in a comfortable environment.

All lessons are professionally taught by Nadia. She doesn't cut corners, haha. Having traveled to Turkey and Egypt, the birthplace of belly dance, to be trained multiple times, she now performs and teaches in various cities based in Asia. She has won numerous competition awards and has also served as a judge in this decade, so she can provide accurate advice and instruction. 

Lessons are also available at affordable prices, unique to online classes. You can take classes for just $150 per month, or a two-month package for $250. The program is structured in terms, with each term lasting two months (8 weeks) to master the choreography of one song! Lessons are held four days a week, with three classes per day, for a total of 40 classes per month, and you can take as many as you like. You can attend as many basic, choreography, and yoga classes as you like without making a reservation. You'll also receive an explanatory video once a week so you can continue learning the choreography even if you miss a class.

We also hold wonderful hafla / recital events so you can share what you've learned.

Content: This is the hottest event of the year, held every winter in Tokyo. The performers are NADIA ONLINE members! As the culmination of a year's worth of practice and preparation, they will bring a dazzling performance to the stage, produced by NADIA.

【新ターム始まります ♪】★「Rakasni Ya Habibi」 振付 & 基礎・ヨガ！「TOKYO HAFLA」 エントリー開始！他

 

皆様、こんにちは！★ 

シンガポール在住の日本人ベリーダンサー、ナディアです。
8月のお盆休み明けより、いよいよ新タームが始まります。


フュージョンを踊るなら和フュージョン作品を！と昔からブレないナディアですが、フュージョンを踊る際、最も大切な軸となるのは、オリエンタルの基礎です。オリエンタル（ベリーダンス）の基礎がないと、一体何のフュージョンだか分からなくなるから笑。

今年の春から、私たちNADIA ONLINEが課題曲に取り上げているのは、エジプトスタイル。バラディ、シャアビと、完全なるエジプトモード！ナディアは、もう、いてもたってもいられなくなり笑、6月末から１週間ほどカイロに行ってきました。

私が最後にエジプトを旅したのが2010年ごろ？なので、非常に久しぶりでしたが、街の雰囲気は全然変わっていなくて笑、（しいて言えばピラミッドを見てまわるのにバスを利用できるようになったくらい？）、何度訪れても変わらない、活気あるカイロの街や人々のエネルギーが大好きです。ギザのピラミッドを眺めては、時空を超えた世界観、古代エジプトの人々も地球のこの場所から、空を見上げ、宇宙を想像し、そこと繋がれると信じて、ピラミッドを作ったのかな？などと想いを馳せてみたり、また、古代エジプトの宗教観は多神教であることが、日本のそれと同じで（エジプトではラー、日本ではアマテラス）、そこに不思議な親近感が湧き、全ての時空を超えたスケールが壮大すぎて、小さな自分の身体で精一杯エネルギーを浴び、受け止め、帰国しました。

エジプトから帰国した後の私は、とてもエネルギッシュで、踊るモチベーションも泉の如く湧いています。

その泉を、そのまま新作につなげていきます。

今回のタームでは、バラディ、シャアビ に続き、エジプト音楽でベリーダンサーが最も魅力的に踊れる曲、エジプシャン・オリエンタル（ラクス・シャルキ）を踊ります。 Dr Samy Faragのアルバムより、ナディアが最も気に入っている楽曲、"Rakasni Ya Habibi"（踊ってよね、ダーリン）をベールを使って踊ります。
