Hello! I’m Nadia, a Japanese belly dancer based in Singapore.
Lately, I’ve been completely immersed in “Japanese Oriental Fusion” pieces—dancing with a soft, refined Japanese aesthetic… but now I’m starting to feel it again—my inner belly dancer is calling! Doesn’t it feel like it’s time to return to Egyptian music?
For this new term starting this spring, I want to dive fully back into belly dance! I’m ready to shimmy a lot to authentic Egyptian music, so I’ve chosen some energetic, uplifting tracks.
The piece we’ll be working on is “Ouyoun Baheya (Eyes of Baheya)”, a song from 1970s Egypt composed by Baligh Hamdi (also known for songs like “Ana Bastanak” and “Mawood”... etc).
Actually, I choreographed this piece once about 10 years ago and performed it at Tokyo Ailara and many more various shows—it was always very well received. This time, I’ll be teaching an updated 2026 version of the choreography!
Using feather fans or an assaya can really elevate the performance and make it incredibly exciting!
I did consider it, but for the lessons, we’ll first focus on dancing with just the body—no props. If the body isn’t properly trained and expressive, then using props loses its meaning, so we’ll continue building strong technique and control.
For those who want to incorporate props in performances, you’ll be able to add and adapt them into the finished choreography, so it becomes your own expression. I’ll be designing the choreography with that flexibility in mind.
(And just between us… I think I’ll probably use props in my own show lol. I’m scheduled to perform at Tokyo Ailara this summer after a long time, and I’m secretly thinking I might dance this piece there 😊)
I’ve invited Ehab-sensei to host a special “Ouyoun Baheya” lyrics lecture. I actually took this same class with him five years ago, and it was extremely insightful, so I’ve asked him to offer the same content again.
If you would like to join, please let me know:

We will be sharing bilingual (Japanese & English) lyric sheets and study materials.
The “Ayoun Baheiya” lyrics lecture will also be available as an archive recording, accessible for one month.
The schedule is attached below.
The new term starts this week and will run until mid-July!
I’ve selected choreography pieces that are fun and enjoyable to dance to, so let’s build up our energy and head into summer with full momentum and excitement!
TABI YOGA (Travel Yoga), held while connecting via Zoom from different countries—how many countries has it reached by now?
This time, I’ll be heading to Canada, where my lovely student Julie—who has warmly invited me for workshops and shows—has also organized everything on the ground. I’m planning to do TABI YOGA from her home, together with her adorable cat, and maybe even her boyfriend too 😊
I’ll be “stepping through the screen” and joining the other side, so to speak.
In fact, we are almost on opposite sides of the globe! When it’s 8:00 PM in Singapore, it’s 8:00 AM in Canada. So I’ll be offering evening yoga from Singapore as a morning yoga session from Canada.
Before and after the session, we may also have some casual travel chat with Julie—if everyone is still awake 😄
“NADIA ONLINE” signature TABI YOGA will be included as a free bonus for May participants.
Due to time differences:
Japan time: 9:00 PM
Singapore time: 8:00 PM start
For those who are not members of NADIA ONLINE, drop-in participation is available at $35 per session. Please DM for registration.
New term starts Thursday, April 30 ✨
For lesson inquiries and registration, please contact via DM.
NADIA ONLINE also offers unlimited access to yoga classes.
It is a very affordable monthly membership, allowing you to join as many yoga and belly dance classes as you like—from the comfort of your own home.
Our highly popular “Bijin Yoga (Beautiful Woman Yoga)” is held four times a week. Even complete beginners are welcome to join.
This “Bijin Yoga” taught by Nadia is truly something special—the lymphatic flow work is almost miraculous, and many participants notice that their face looks visibly smaller the next day.
Small face ✨ lifted hips ✨ defined waist!
Let’s shape the body steadily and beautifully as we move toward summer.
Nadia’s studio classes, which have been receiving great feedback, are now open.
The studio is located just one stop by bus from Orchard Road, in the heart of Singapore. Although it is in the city center, it feels like stepping into a quiet forest—surrounded by greenery with a beautiful pool view. It is a space designed to offer inspiration and a joyful belly dance experience.
Participants with children are also very welcome.
The classes are women-only, fully reservation-based, and held in small groups of around 10 people.
There is no registration fee.
Trial classes and drop-ins are available.
We offer two classes every Friday and Saturday at 11:00 AM:
- 60 minutes of fundamentals
- 60 minutes of choreography
Students who attend the studio classes can also join the online lessons (fundamentals, choreography, and yoga). This means that if you miss a studio class, you can easily catch up through online lessons and recorded videos—so you can learn the choreography without worry.
Trial lessons and drop-ins are available at $35 for a 60-minute class.
Please feel free to contact us anytime.
